Protecting your privacy is important to CALLCAR. That’s why we’ve created a Privacy Statement that covers how we collect, use, transfer, disclose and store the information you share with us. Please take a moment to read, understand and familiarize yourself with our privacy practices and let us know if you have any questions.
This privacy statement applies to all CALLCAR services, our websites and our software.
Any information we ask for when you register with CALLCAR’s software is required in order to offer you our services.
We will disclose your personal information to third parties only for the purposes of completing your booking with Partners to provide you with the information or services you have requested or only with your express consent. We reserve the right to disclose your personal information to certain affiliated third parties including members of our own team and trusted partners.
It is noted that, in accordance with European legislation on the protection of personal data, specific security procedures have been followed to prevent the misuse of personal data.
The personal information we collect is necessary to process your reservations (for Rental services) and to provide the CALLCAR services to you. All personal information we collect is voluntarily submitted by you when you register for the CALLCAR application, or when using the CALLCAR services.
When you download the CALLCAR mobile app, we collect your device type, your wireless carrier, and your individual device identity (IMEI) and associate it with your personal information, although we use this information primarily to support your account and to provide you with the CALLCAR services.
Registration and use of application
When you register with CALLCAR and in order to be able to use our Software you will be asked to fill out an electronic form with: your email address (email), mobile phone number, location information (your mobile or other location reporting device your for the transmission of location data), your name and your passport or ID number . This information is necessary to use the CALLCAR application. The information will not be reused for a purpose inconsistent with the scope of our service as described in the terms and conditions.
The credit card information you provide in your personal profile when using the service is not stored by us, but is stored and used by the organizations that process the credit card payment to the third parties you owe for the Leasing services you received from them. .
Tenant Account
You are responsible for safeguarding your personal device from which you access your personal account and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
In addition, location information (GPS) is collected when using our Software or the CALLCAR service. When you travel with a vehicle that you have rented from a CALLCAR Partner, the Driver’s mobile phone and/or the vehicle’s device will record the vehicle’s course. We collect this information to provide you with a history of your trips and do not use it for any other purpose.
In addition we collect your device type and its unique identifier (IMEI) when you use our mobile app, we use this information for the sole purpose of providing you with a more personalized, updated app and features, and for account security your. If you use our services through your mobile device, we will track your geo-location information so that you can locate drivers near your location, set your pickup location, and our drivers can find the location from which you wish to be picked up. We will not share this information with third parties for any purpose and will use this information solely for the purpose of fulfilling your request. We may also collect your geo-location even when you are not using the CALLCAR services, only if you have consented, so that we can effectively provide you with our additional services based on your geo-location. You may at any time further prevent our application from using your geolocation by disabling it at your device level.
If you wish to apply for a job on our website we will collect personal information such as your name, email address, telephone number as well as additional information that you voluntarily provide to us such as your CV, gender and nationality. We use the information collected in this area of our website to determine your qualifications for the position you have applied for and to contact you to arrange an interview.
Our primary goal in collecting information is to provide you with an improved experience when using the CALLCAR service. We use this information to closely monitor which features of the CALLCAR service are used the most, so that you can view your rental history, evaluate rental services, and to determine which features we need to focus on improving, including usage patterns and geographic locations to determine where we should offer or focus services, features and/or resources, to send confirmation SMS, we use the mobile information collected to be able to offer you the correct version of the application according to your device type, to solve problems and in some cases, for marketing and promotional purposes.
The company uses Internet Protocol (IP) addresses to help diagnose problems with our server computer and to administer the software. Your IP address is used to help locate you and gather broad demographic data. Your IP address does not contain any personal information about you.
We will send you information related solely to our services and on rare occasions when this is necessary. For example, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance, we may send you an email. If you do not wish to receive them, you have the option to deactivate/delete your account. Additionally we will send you a confirmation email when you hire a service from our partners/drivers. This email will contain information related to your booking and will be considered as a confirmation of your booking agreement with our partner/driver.
You can opt out of receiving certain communications from CALLCAR, such as our newsletter which is informative and promotes new services and offers, by clicking “Unsubscribe” at the bottom of each email or by emailing us at help @Fours.com. Please note that even if you unsubscribe or opt-out, we may send you communications about vehicle bookings (e.g. sms related to your booking: “vehicle has arrived at specified destination”).
As you know, our CALLCAR services are designed to connect the drivers of the vehicles providing the transportation service, or only the vehicle in the case of renting the vehicle only, or only the driver in the case of renting the driver only, with you. In order to process your booking we need to share your geo-location information with the driver who will be providing the services to you. To complete the booking, we need to provide the pick-up location to the driver to expedite the ride – the same information the driver would receive from you if you called them directly. We ask that drivers use this information to provide the transportation service only, and do not store this information beyond the duration of each transportation service they provide. Upon making your reservation, you hereby authorize us to share relevant reservation information with each driver designated by you to provide transportation services to you.
Please remember that this privacy statement only applies to the use and disclosure of information we collect from and/or about you. When you allow us to disclose information to drivers, the restrictions on use and disclosure contained in this privacy statement will not apply to them. We make it clear that while we at CALLCAR encourage users to comply with our data protection requirements, we will not be responsible if drivers do not comply with your details. We do not control the privacy policy or actions of third parties, including guides. Any complaints or questions about a driver’s use of your information, or advertising by a driver, should be addressed directly to the driver. Drivers through the CALLCAR network may also have their own websites. CALLCAR is not responsible for how drivers may collect your personal information through their own websites. Please contact the relevant driver regarding their own website’s privacy policy (if any) and how they will access or use your personal information on their personal website.
At the end of your ride, there may be a rating for the services provided to you by our partners/drivers. If you rate the guide who provided you with the services, you hereby agree and accept that such information, including feedback, may also be sent to the guide.
When you use our software, we collect anonymous information such as your IP address and basic website logging information such as your browser type and the pages you browsed on our website, browser language, date and time of the request and one or more cookies that can uniquely identify your browser. We may identify the pages that led you to our software, although we do not associate this information with your personal information.
We may also place small data files called “cookies” on your computer or mobile device. Cookies cannot harm your system in any way. In addition, they make your navigation easier as they save your settings. We send a “session cookie” to your device when you sign in to your account. This type of cookie helps us recognize when you visit multiple areas of our website during the same session, so we don’t have to ask you for your password on every page. Once you log out, close your browser or application, this cookie expires and no longer has any action. We also use longer-lasting cookies to display your email address or mobile phone number on our login form, so that you don’t have to re-type your email address every time you log into your account. You are free to decline our cookies if your browser allows it, but this may affect your use of our software. In this case, we bear no responsibility for the correct operation of the application and any problems that may arise in the experience of using CALLCAR’s services.
We may use third-party tracking services to track and analyze anonymous user information of our software. These third parties may use cookies to help track user behavior.
We reserve the right to disclose anonymous information publicly without limitation, including to third parties (vendors) who may help us enhance or provide CALLCAR software and services to third parties.
If your personal information changes, if you no longer wish to use our service, you can correct, delete inaccuracies, or amend it by making the change on our member information page, or by emailing us at [email protected] . A member of our team will respond to your access request as soon as possible.
We will retain your information (including geolocation) for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide you with services. If you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you with our services, please contact us at [email protected]. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
Our Contact button activates your email software and invites you to send your comments to a specific email box.
When you send such a message, your personal data is collected only to the extent necessary to respond to you. If our mailbox management team is unable to answer your question, they will forward your email to another service. You will be notified by email to which service your question has been forwarded.
If you have any questions about the processing of your emails and personal data, please do not hesitate to express them in your message.
Personally identifiable information such as geolocation information that we collect is stored securely in our database and we use standard, commercially available security practices such as encryption and firewalls and SSL (SecureSocketLayers) to protect your information – such as to your credit card number that we maintain (we do not retain all of your credit card information). However, no matter how effective encryption technology is, no security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee the security of our database, nor can we guarantee that the information you provide will not be intercepted as it is transmitted to us over the internet, and any information you transmit to the company is at your own risk. We strongly recommend that you do not disclose your password to anyone, in order to enhance your own security.
We may update this privacy statement to reflect our occasional changes in the way we manage information. If we make any material changes we will notify you by email (sent to the email address specified in your account) or by notice on our or our partners’ official websites, before such change becomes effective. We encourage you to periodically review this page for the latest information about our privacy practices. This privacy statement forms part of the terms and conditions agreement and is interpreted in accordance with the relevant terms of the latter.
According to the Greek legislation L.4530/2018 and L. 4512/2018 par.210A the minimum rental time is three (3) hours.
